Crookhey Hall School were sad to say goodbye to their 2017 leavers so they decided to mark it with a luncheon for parents and carers with a little bit extra. A lovely buffet was laid on by Abi, the cook, which was enjoyed by the whole school including the visitors. Thanks Abi!
Afterwards the Year 11’s were treated to a slideshow of old photos taken from their time here. Lauren and Keeley rocking the overalls look and Aaron as a Year 6 in a fluffy hat. This created much laughter and then came Aaron’s own ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire.’ As the pupil who had been at Crookhey the longest we decided to test his knowledge about the school with the odd curve ball question thrown in such as, “How many school t-shirts and jumpers do you have at home?” (he has no idea!) The quiz evoked many long forgotten memories and it was also lovely to see Mr. Mundy, Aaron’s keyworker from days gone by make the effort to come and surprise Aaron on his last day. Mr. O’Connell, our recently retired Headteacher, also came to add his good wishes to everybody.
This was followed by a presentation to each pupil of a leavers hoodie and their Portfolio of Achievement containing all the certificates they have gained whilst here.
Miss. Lea gave a short speech wishing the pupils the very best of luck in all that they do, telling them to go out and shine like the stars that they are. We shall miss them!
